You can use multiple handsets without worry of cross-talk or eavesdropping because the FHSS technology randomly changes frequencies several times per second. Add up to seven additional handsets anywhere in the house while using only one base unit and one phone jack. This eliminates the need to rewire your phone line to other parts of the house. Toll Saver allows you to check your messages while away from home and avoid toll charges. If the system answers on the first ring you have new messages. If it doesn't, you don't have new messages and can hang up before the call goes through. An advanced microchip records up to 15 minutes of messages and makes retrieval easy. This System features Privacy Mode. You can block all other handsets from joining in on the conversation. This feature automatically shuts off when the call is completed. 4-Way Conferencing allows for conference in one outside line on up to 4 handsets simultaneously with the MultiTalk Expandable System. You can quickly and easily conference in on an existing conversation between another handset and an outside line. Use the intercom function to listen to what's going on in any room that has a handset. From the base unit or a handset, you can call any other extension in the system. 4-Line Backlit LCD on handset shows Call Status, Programming Options, Directory Items, and if you subscribe, up to 3 lines of Caller ID information, so there's no need for scrolling. Backlighting greatly aids visibility especially in low light areas. Share the names and phone numbers programmed in one handset with any other handset in the system. The System records messages in flash memory so they're unaffected by power failures or interruptions.6-Selectable Ring tones allow for personalizing your ring tone to alert you when there is an incoming call. A voice synthesizer prompts callers through the messaging system and identifies each incoming message with the time and day it was received. The system accommodates three voice mailboxes. You can share the mailboxes with other members of your family or office, in your convenience. Callers from touch tone phones can specify one of three mailboxes to leave a message there.
